CEO JOB DESCRIPTION

PAVE is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented leader to help realize our vision of a world free of sexual violence where all survivors are supported as they heal from trauma. PAVE’s CEO is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include overseeing and coordinating fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. We are seeking a CEO to help create a sustainable organization by scaling PAVE’s programs. The CEO will receive support from PAVE’s Founder/ED. This is a salaried full-time and fully remote position. PAVE an equal opportunity employer.

Promoting Awareness | Victim Empowerment (PAVE) is a national nonprofit that has been on the front lines of the movement to end sexual violence and support survivors for over two decades. PAVE supports and empowers victim-survivors and strives to prevent sexual violence through social advocacy, education/training, and survivor support. With a passionate, dedicated staff of under ten working remotely, PAVE has reached millions through in-person education, as well as social and traditional media including: The Today Show, Good Morning America, USA Today, and TIME. PAVE’sSurvivors.orgis a groundbreaking national hub providing resources, community and holistic healing to help survivors to thrive after trauma.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach
  • Grant management responsibilities include federal grant reporting
  • Report to and work closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and to increase the overall visibility of the organization
  • Responsible for overseeing PAVE’s programs that carry out the organization’s mission including PAVE’s Speaker’s Bureau, K-12/College/Military primary prevention education, first responder training, holistic healing initiatives for survivors
  • Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that PAVE can successfully fulfill its Mission into the future including key partnerships working with PAVE’s Outreach Director
  • Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions
  • Responsible for overseeing fundraising strategy and developing other revenues necessary to support PAVE’s mission working with PAVE’s Director of Development
  • Responsible for the fiscal integrity of PAVE to include proposed annual budget to the Board
  • Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff
  • Responsible effective administration of PAVE operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation. Superior follow up and attention to detail
  • High level strategic thinking, planning and execution. Ability to envision and convey the organization’s strategic future to the staff, board, volunteers and donors
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with budget and fiscal management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to understand and celebrate the diverse needs of staff and those being served
  • Fundraising and development experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Transparent and high integrity leadership
  • Passionate about PAVE’s mission
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of energy

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the nonprofit arena

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Federal grant management and reporting experience
  • Marketing, PR and other communications experience
  • Experience establishing employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the nonprofit
  • Five or more years senior nonprofit management experience
  • Experience and skill in working with a Board of Directors
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
  • A history of successfully generating new revenue streams and improving financial results
  • Active fundraising experience. Excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community
  • Previous success in establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence including funders, partner agencies and volunteers
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting
  • Strong public speaking ability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
