Job Description: | The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) invites applications and nominations for the Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The Chair is an integral part of the College of Dentistry’s administrative team and provides innovative leadership to further develop a dynamic department while cultivating partnerships that lead to collaborative opportunities. The department chair is responsible for the overall administration and management of the department which includes 15 faculty, over 20 staff and 20 advanced education students/residents/postdoctoral associates. The department also includes a Center for Implant Dentistry and Division of Neuroscience research and is responsible for the oral and maxillofacial surgery component of the predoctoral (DMD) curriculum. The UF Health Science Center and its six colleges (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, Veterinary Medicine) are co-located on the Gainesville campus, with additional teaching, research, and patient care sites across Florida, and internationally. |
