Job Description
Supervise and coordinate the overall direction of the Academic Success Center including planning and development, staff supervision, procurement of appropriate resources, and oversight of disability services/accommodations, tutoring services, testing services and the Academic Enrichment Center. Must exercise strong leadership, supervisory, and technical skills that create an appropriate learning environment for students. Work collaboratively within the College community to provide leadership, facilitation, implementation and assessment of a comprehensive array of support services designed to ensure meaningful access and retention for all students. Responsibilities will include budgeting, oversight and evaluation of staff, facilities and equipment, staffing, and short and long-term planning for the Academic Success Center. This position may be eligible to participate in the College’s flexible work schedule at the discretion of the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required with at least three to five years of successful administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in a community college. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and guidelines related to services for persons with disabilities. Knowledge of best practices and research related to retention, persistence and academic support of high-need students. Experience in tutoring, testing, academic support or disability services strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in tutoring, academic support or disability services strongly preferred.
Experience working in a community college.

Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
Provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines.
Respond to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.

Salary
Pay Grade: E-13: $63,192.89
