Job Description:

A fully funded postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Lamba lab (https://lamba.pharmacy.ufl.edu ) in the Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research, College of Pharmacy, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. The study is supported by NIH funded R01 award entitled “Integrated Systems Biology of AML" and the position is ready for an immediate start. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to investigate proteomic and metabolomic markers of prognostic and diagnostic significance in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), with emphasis on the pediatric population. This research spans from integrated multi-omic aspects to establishing and investigating molecular landscape and resistance mechanisms of profound prognostic relevance in pediatric AML. The project is combination of unique cutting-edge genomics, bioinformatics, computational Biology and CRISPR/cas9 based approaches directed towards designing personalized and more effective treatment regimens for AML patients. Expected Salary:

Salary based on NIH Postdoc Scale; Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants should have a PhD and be capable of doing independent research as well as collaborating with investigators at University of Florida Health Cancer Center.

The project will involve extensive work with patient specimens or data, keen interest in translation research is thus critical.

A track record of scientific productivity along with strong verbal and written communication skills is required.

Expertise in basic molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry techniques including DNA/RNA isolation and manipulation, genotyping, RT-PCR, cloning, virus delivery system, CRISPR/Cas9 system, protein purification, basic imaging, immunofluorescence and immunoblot, basic bioinformatics skills is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous flow cytometry and immunology experience, experience in proteomics and/or next-generation sequencing, genomics/transcriptomics and leukemic stem cells is preferred along with background in hematopoiesis, pharmacogenomics or immunology.
