Job Description


Postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Jindan Yu’s laboratory in the Department of Urology and the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University, located in Atlanta, GA, USA. The Yu lab combines bioinformatics analysis with cutting-edge genomics technologies to investigate genomic, epigenomic, and immunological regulations of cancer with a specific interest in hormonal transcription factors and chromatin modifiers. In particular, our research focuses on delineating the molecular mechanisms underlying prostate cancer progression and developing novel therapeutic strategies for advanced diseases (Lu et al., Nature Genetics, 2022; Fong et al., Mol Cell, 2022; Park et al., Sci Adv. 2021; Song et al., J Clin Invest, 2018; Xu et al., Cell Res 2019). Highly motivated individuals with strong interests in the areas of cancer biology, genomics, epigenomics, bioinformatics, or translational cancer research are invited to apply.

Candidates for this position should have a Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics, or related fields. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a collaborative mindset, logical scientific thinking, good technical skills in molecular/cellular biology, and excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
