Job Description:

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is immediately available for highly ambitious, independent, and motivated candidates in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida (https://pop.pharmacy.ufl.edu ). The position will require collaborations with faculty, scientists, health professionals and students in the Department and across the UF campus on the design, coordination, and implementation of research using real-world data (RWD), such as those in electronic health records (EHRs) and administrative claims data, for federal and state-funded projects.

The Postdoctoral Research Associate is expected to lead research projects that involve activities including but not limited to:

(1) Design and implement studies using RWD

(2) Extract and process RWD data for analysis

(3) Develop and apply novel data science methods including statistical and machine /deep learning methods

(4) Develop and apply novel causal inference, especially causal AI methods.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Have a Ph.D. in related fields (epidemiology, biostatistics, biomedical informatics, and computer science/engineering).

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Doctoral training in data science will be a plus.

2. Research experience with EHRs and claims data is a plus.

3. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Have at least two first-author papers in

peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings.

4. Be proficient with programming (e.g., python, R and SAS).

5. Practical experience in data science, predictive modeling, deep learning, and causal inference will be a plus.

6. Be able to successfully interact with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, basic

scientists, and translational researchers.
