Postdoctoral Associate

Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Experimental Particle Physics, Nuclear Physics or closely related field in hand by September 2023.

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD (or foreign equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in experimental particle physics.

Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators in the Neutrino and Nucleon Decay Group research program in the Department of Physics and Astronomy . The group plays a leading role in the SuperKamiokande, T2K and DUNE experiments. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Analyze data for the T2K experiment
• Develop detectors for the DUNE experiment
• Oversee the work of graduate students
• Other duties as assigned.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
