Summary of Position
This individual will be a key member of the Center for DATA as a team lead for a group of business intelligence and data analysts. This individual will supervise staff as well as contribute individually to reporting, data visualization, and analytics solutions to meet strategic and operational needs for the USNH institutions in support of academic and student-related business processes. Contribute toward evolving the organization’s analytical self-service/ad hoc reporting capabilities using existing or future toolsets. Lead prototype efforts in various BI tools for capability assessment and demonstrations. In addition, this position will lead and take part in client support efforts, data literacy initiatives, and data governance, and will provide project management and oversight of related projects.

Other minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience in the information technology field, a Master’s and four years, or a combination of education and experience equal to ten years.
- Prior experience managing people, projects and priorities
- Ability to lead technical and non-technical projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical clients.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics, developing effective data visualization and reporting solutions, and working with business leaders and subject matter experts.
- Understanding of and experience with data warehousing technologies and concepts, relational databases, business, and systems analysis for business intelligence efforts.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI), statistical coding (R, Python, SAS), business intelligence technologies (BusinessObjects/Crystal Reports), and advanced SQL. Familiarity with PL/SQL, data modeling tools.
Bonus experience
- Prior experience in an analytics or business intelligence role in Higher Education
- Knowledge of Banner Finance, HR, and Student systems
- Experience with ERP reporting and analytics environments
- Experience with exploratory data analysis using big data technologies/languages such as Snowflake and AWS

Strategic Planning with Academic Leaders and Units – Lead and participate in USNH-wide and institutional planning efforts to improve and mature access to and use of academic data. Take part in and lead efforts to improve effectiveness of reporting and information solutions to meet needs. Participate in USNH wide governance groups and committees.
