Summary of Position

This position supports Student Accessibility Services (SAS). The Administrative Assistant is tasked with greeting students and routing them to the appropriate staff member while managing traffic flow and answering phones. This position also assists the SAS Administrative Coordinator with relevant SAS projects. Strong customer services skills, professionalism, and the ability to maintain student confidentiality is required. Experience working with people with disabilities is desirable.

Duty/Responsibility

Assist in administrative management and communication regarding programs and services offered through SAS; collaborate with SAS team members related to communication of effective service delivery; communicate with SAS regarding questions, needs, and appointments.

Collaborate with campus partners such as the Admissions SAS Liaison and other staff for visiting prospective students and families.

Duty/Responsibility

First point of contact for communication with SAS: work with confidential information, prioritize presented issues – resolve or refer to office staff; initial contact for incoming phone calls and emails from prospective students and families, faculty, staff, and current students concerning SAS services, registration procedures; referral to other resources; assitance with connecting to the SAS AT Specialist.

Coordinate/manage reception area for appointments and drop-ins.

Duty/Responsibility

Assist students and instructors with Accommodate (the SAS accommodation management system) – Log-in, Intake/Registration, Accommodation Letter requests.

Secondary contact for exam management and coordination of proctor and/or accommodations.

Duty/Responsibility

Clarify and assist students and instructors regarding services, policies & procedures of SAS;refer to SAS staff as appropriate.
