Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: M-Th, 20-25 Hrs per week. Flexible hours and some remote work possible

Summary:
Responsible for the organization’s programs and fund development communications, publications, and graphic design support activities. Role is an integral part of small team; self motivated, highly organized, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsible for contributing to and maintaining a professional office environment, representing the organization with discretion, consideration and integrity, and interacting positively and effectively with volunteers, homeowners and all team members. Works closely with Director level staff on program support.

Professional Qualification, Skills and abilities

  • BA or BS degree, or equivalent preferred with 3 years related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Publisher, Canva, & Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency with basic website updates and maintenance using WordPress, various social media sites, Constant Contact, or other contact management software.
  • Reliable, responsible and shows strong work ethic, discretion and integrity.
  • Demonstrates excellent service, cooperation, initiative, teamwork and flexibility.
  • Possesses exceptional communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently managing and prioritizing own work and deadlines effectively.
  • Able to consistently meet a high work quality standard.
  • Committed to professional development and maximizing contribution to the organization.
  • Seeks to become knowledgeable regarding Habitat's mission and projects.
  • Quickly grasps varied aspects of Habitat's operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update website, including annual SSL certificate website security, and backups.
  • Maintain social media effort, FB, YouTube, Constant Contact.
  • ReStore marketing and social media support.
  • Professionally design flyers, posters, and all publications and collateral.
  • Videography: create and edit video content
  • Assist with writing articles for media, newsletter, and website
  • Take photos and videos of program and all event activities and maintain an ongoing digital library for use in publications, website, presentations, etc..
  • Committee and Board Communications Support
  • Design quarterly e-newsletter, coordinate and write content.
  • Initiate new ideas and recommendations to benefit Habitat.
  • Preparing presentations, reports and materials for meetings and events.
  • Provide and assist with interpretation of website analytics.
  • Maintain professional look with branding and content as required.
  • Advertising design and support.
  • Attends and is prepared for meetings as requested.
  • Completes other special projects and activities as required by organization’s business needs or as requested.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
