Job Description
Post Doctoral Researcher to pursue research on anti-HIV vaccine development and mechanism of viral entry in the Department of Microbial Infection & Immunity; designs, conducts, and evaluates research experiments; writes research papers for publication; presents research findings at local, national, or international scientific meetings; applies for postdoctoral fellowships; assists PI with writing and submitting grant proposals to obtain extramural funding in support of research; analyzes and interprets data; performs scientific literature searches; participates in journal clubs, laboratory meetings, and Department seminars and activities; assists with training of other lab members.
Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biological sciences.
Required Qualifications
MD, PhD, or MD/PhD required; ability to interact in a highly multidisciplinary environment; experience with biochemistry and tissue culture techniques highly desired; experience with microscopy and structural biology techniques desired. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
