Position Highlights The Department of Planetary Sciences/Lunar and Planetary Laboratory of the University of Arizona has an opening for a post-doctoral researcher in the area of terrestrial planet geophysics and tectonics.

Duties & Responsibilities The successful applicant will carry out research in the field of planetary geophysics, with a focus on the Moon and Mercury.  Work will involve analysis of gravity and topography data, interpretation of tectonic features, and numerical modeling.  The applicant will be expected to carry out independent research, give presentations at professional meetings, and prepare publications on the work.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in Planetary Science, Geology, Physics, Astronomy, or related field, which must be awarded prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with quantitative analyses, numerical modeling, computer programming, geophysical data analysis, and/or remote sensing data analysis.
