Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) participates in planning, design, execution of research projects in a biomedical research laboratory of cancer biology; performs molecular and cellular techniques; collects, analyzes and interprets research data; assists with development and implementation of new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques; tests experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods; assists in the preparation of research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation, assists principal investigator (PI) in the preparation of proposals to obtain new or renewal of funding in support of research; coordinates laboratory activities and work assignments of postdoctoral researchers, graduate and undergraduate students; oversees and coordinates periodic maintenance and testing of laboratory equipment; animal maintenance, performs additional duties as PI assigned.

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate biomedical science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic and/or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required. Experience in a biological/health science research laboratory is preferred. Prior experience with animal models is desired. Must be enrolled in the graduate school at OSU.
