Job Description
The position is responsible for:
  • Leading, supervising, and administering all College-wide articulation agreements, military credit, Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), and the Dual Enrollment (DE) Program including on-campus and high school site delivery.
  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including HCC administration and staff, school district personnel, Dual Enrolled parents, students, community partners, and other educational institutions (e.g., Florida Colleges and Universities) to oversee programs.
  • Provides strategic leadership in developing, supervising, and administering articulation agreements, military credit, CPL.
  • .Maintains state and federal rules and standards related to articulation agreements, and dual enrollment processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with accelerated programs including, Dual Enrollment, military credit, CPL , and articulation agreements;
  • A minimum of two years of teaching (high school or college);
  • Two years of administrative experience with Dual Enrollment, articulation agreements, and/or
    CPL;
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the enthusiasm and credibility to create and sustain programmatic momentum;
  • Experience evaluating instructional faculty at either the high school or college level;
  • Proven track record in developing strong relationships with educational partners, regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations;
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity in higher education

 

Supplemental Job Information
  • Oversee and evaluate of all DE admissions, registration, and retention, DE schedule development and maintenance. Evaluate student applications to determine appropriateness for DE Program.
  • Assess DE faculty qualifications and assignments; train, support, evaluate and supervise DE faculty. Supervise all department staff, including two full-time and one part-time employees. Work with the school district and high school administration to assure quality control of content and delivery of the DE curriculum.
  • Work with Admissions, Registration, and Records staff to verify student eligibility. Coordinate responses to student/parent questions regarding eligibility, registration, and continued enrollment issues, identifies solutions where needed, and tracks resolutions. Coordinates HCC counselor visits.
  • Develop and maintain current articulation agreements related to the dual enrollment program (one public school agreement and 100+ private school and home school agreements).
  • Oversee the collection and distribution of curricular materials, including textbooks, teaching materials, educational supplies, course syllabi, grade rolls, grade rosters, and academic petitions and adjustments.
  • Manage responses to student/parent questions regarding eligibility, registration, and continued enrollment issues, identify solutions where needed, and tracks resolutions.
  • Liaise with the Campus Academic Deans and high school administration to develop course schedules throughout the college; Recommend policies and procedures to govern the College’s DE Program.
  • Manage and maintain all college-wide articulation agreements and Credit for Prior Learning initiatives including military credit, industrial and experiential credit and course by exam.
  • Develop and monitor department and program/project budgets.
  • Work with all segments of the College community to increase accelerated learning opportunities and increase awareness. Explore additional articulation opportunities and develop partnerships with industry and academic institutions.
  • Oversee production and publication of accelerated learning reports as needed.
