Job Description:

Position Summary
The Project Manager works collaboratively to manage and execute the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small
Businesses national alumni program for the SW Ohio region at Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. The
mission of the alumni program is to provide continued business education to help program graduates grow
their business, create a community of active alumni through meaningful engagement, and to capture and
elevate the impact of the program through data and story collection and thought leadership opportunities.

Essential Job Functions

Project Management

Manage the national alumni program for local graduates of 10,000 Small Businesses at Columbus State, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, and Sinclair College. Build and manage relationships with program graduates and keep informed of updates to their businesses (including but not limited to: news, awards, press, challenges, and location/contact information changes) by proactively reaching out and manage a system to track these updates and changes. Serve as the main liaison between the program and 10KSB graduates from the site for alumni programming, online/virtual engagement, data collection, and responsiveness to Goldman Sachs Foundation/national partner requests. Responsible for overseeing the site’s work with the 10KSB app and for meeting or exceeding targets for usage and engagement by business owners including: onboarding business owners to the app when they start the program, monitoring local alumni participation on the app for overall engagement, liaising with alumni who need support on the app, creating and curating content for this community of business owners. Attend select modules of the program to meet and network with scholars (future alumni) including to present and answer questions about the alumni program and to aid in recruitment efforts by soliciting program referrals.

Event Management

Plan, promote, and execute alumni continuing education clinics and alumni reunions including meeting or exceeding attendance and evaluation benchmarks with the support of other members of the program team.

Reporting

Assume leadership for the multi-faceted system of data collection and reporting on alumni including the alumni measurement and evaluation (M&E) diagnostics as well as other surveys and research/requests for information. Produces monthly alumni-related reports as directed by the 10,000 Small Businesses program National Alumni Director.

application of job software including word processing and spreadsheets; creating and proofreading standard
business correspondence and other written documents; creating and reviewing functional report formats;
documenting office procedures.

Ability to: demonstrate outstanding communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively
orally and/or in writing to diverse audiences, including students (with limited English), staff, and
administrators; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, students, and
general public; work creatively and independently in a team environment; manage and prioritize multiple,
highly complex projects involving a number of creative and technical individuals; demonstrate initiative;

Other Duties And Responsibilities
Attends all required department meetings and trainings.
Attends all Alumni Program meetings hosted by Babson College and Goldman Sachs.
Works a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime (extended hours) as required and
approved to meet workload demands.
Limited travel throughout the SW Ohio Region will be required.

Minimum Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of overall professional experience.
Two years of experience with community building, event planning, program planning, and project
management.

Licenses and Certifications
State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

Working Conditions

Typical office environment. Regular exposure to moderate noise typical to business offices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of overall professional experience.

Two years of experience with community building, event planning, program planning, and project
management.
