Position Summary

A post-doctoral position is available in the Green Lab at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. The Green Lab studies basic mechanisms of cancer biology with the goal of improving outcomes for children with cancer. Our current research efforts are focused on the etiology of somatic mutagenesis in cancer, DNA damage response pathways that are activated by specific mutagens, and exploitation of DNA damage responses for targeted cancer therapy.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated post-doc to join our team. Our lab utilizes techniques that span across molecular biology, cell culture, animal models, and bioinformatics to investigate DNA damage and repair pathways in childhood cancer. There will be extensive opportunities for training to complement current skills, as well as opportunities to collaborate closely with outstanding scientists at Washington University and externally.

Required Qualifications

M.D. and/or Ph.D. in a field related to cancer biology and relevant published research experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong background in molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and animal models of cancer. Candidates with bioinformatics skills are encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
