The Thematic Option Honors Program, the general education honors alternative program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, invites applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship in teaching undergraduate writing. Researchers with training in literature and cultural studies as well as experience teaching composition are particularly encouraged to apply. In addition to research, the successful candidate is expected to teach three courses per academic year and to participate in the intellectual life of the department and other units on campus. This person will receive a stipend of $65,000 plus benefits. Applicants must have received their Ph.D. within the last five years or at the latest by August 16, 2023, the start date of the position. In addition to the letter of application, applicants should include their curriculum vitae, a writing sample, course evaluations, and sample syllabi (attach all as one PDF document during the application process). Three letters of reference will be asked of finalists. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
