This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing essential support by collecting, organizing, and analyzing University wide information that allows staff and faculty to better understand the CMU community and environment in which they work. Responsibilities will include processing raw data from enterprise systems into usable datasets, analyzing data and interpreting results; and creating written reports and verbal presentations, including graphic visualizations.
Core responsibilities will include:

Collaborates to set institutional research strategy for the purpose of providing reliable, consistent, and usable information to leadership to advance academic planning and decision- making.

Manages the collection, storage, and dissemination of data internally and the collection and reporting of data to external audiences.

Advises College leaders of current trends and changes to curriculum relevance, matriculation patterns, learning outcomes and related issues.

Organizes and collects information in support of the accreditation process.

Collaborates with CMU Institutional Research leadership to achieve College’s institutional research goals and align with University data collection and reporting standards.

Develops and manages information to support College-level decision making.

Provides research support for and evaluations of institutional issues such as enrollment, alumni, assessment, faculty, and financial aid.

Provides statistical and summary reports after conducting research of internal and external current and historical information.

Has data visualization experience using various software programs, such as Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, QlikView etc.

Provides College leadership with reliable and consistent information to make informed decisions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required

3-5 years of database analysis and design experience required
