This Post-Doctoral Scholar position requires an individual with experience in molecular biophysics and biochemistry with emphasis on bioinformatics, computational modeling, and computer simulations of biological systems. The research will focus on the modeling, analysis and interpretation of systems biological and multi-omics data, including metabolomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. This includes the characterization of biochemical pathways along with the atomistic characterization of involved proteins and known and unknown metabolites starting from the analysis of experimental data to the prediction of new pathways, the identification of biomarkers, metabolites and protein targets involved in health and disease. The research, which will include the development and maintenance of new and existing software, databases, and web servers, will also involve collaborations with other group members and external scientists, and other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator (P)I. These tools will be made suitable for the use by other group members and for the distribution to the broader scientific community. The Post-Doctoral Scholar will prepare research results for publications as reports, in peer-reviewed journals, websites, books, and other media, and prepare and deliver seminars, talks or lectures for dissemination of knowledge, particularly the results of the research undertaken. The Post-Doctoral Scholar will play an active role in the group’s weekly seminar and journal club and in collaboration(s).    

Requirement

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computational Science or related field.
