Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

This project will develop novel solar+wind+battery based control and coordination tools to withstand severe electrical contingencies and maintain grid voltage stability. The project also explores the potential of increased revenue sources and reduced capital costs for utilities due to the proposed controls. Develop appropriate models for aggregated solar+wind+battery.  Develop Control Strategies to provide appropriate grid services. The framework also utilizes distribution system assets to provide grid services, enhancing grid performance during both normal and emergency operating conditions. The framework estimates distribution assets capability and optimally dispatches those assets to provide grid services (primary frequency, reactive power and voltage stability support) while reducing operational cost


Required Minimum Qualifications:

PhD or Doctoral degree 
 


Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in Electrical Engineering
