Pay Rate: $17.13 - $21.13 per hour. Starting rate is determined upon education and relevant years of experience beyond the minimum requirements.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities of this position include the following:
  • Coordinate and participate in support activities in a department with a variety of programs and administrative procedures.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor department office filing systems.
  • Prepare initial pay authorizations for all full and part-time staff.
  • Input and make changes to the Human Resources system for all employees.
  • Assist the Payroll Department with input and changes to the Payroll system.
  • Troubleshoot problems relating to the Human Resources/Payroll system.
  • Verify all part-time faculty pay authorizations for accuracy.
  • Work with staff in the academic division to track and secure employment paperwork.
  • Assist with formatting and distributing confidential proposals.
  • Support the maintenance of a variety of tracking systems including salary sheets, professional development and performance management systems.
  • Continually develop, update and monitor Human Resources departmental procedures and Banner Human Resources procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Human Resources and the Human Resources Office.
Minimum Qualifications:
An appropriate education, training, experience, and talents are required. An example of this would be an associates degree in office administration or a related field and experience equivalent to two years in human resources work.

This position also requires knowledge and skills in the following areas:
* Knowledge of human resource policies and procedures.
* Knowledge of payroll practices and procedures.
* Knowledge of record keeping procedures.
* Knowledge of spreadsheets.
* Skill in multi-tasking.
* Skill in maintaining confidentiality.
* Skill in oral and written communications.
* Skill in establishing and maintaining filing systems.
* Skill in analyzing documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with Banner HRIS.
Physical Demands:  
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm
