MaineHealth is seeking a President to lead Franklin Community Health Network (FCHN), a first-class rural healthcare organization located in Farmington, Maine. Reporting to the Mountain Region President and the FCHN Board of Directors, the President of FCHN will be the top executive at FCHN and strong community leader.

FCHN consists of the following:

  • Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County, a community public health outreach program that provides screenings, prevention programs and events
  • NorthStar EMS, a regional ambulance service sponsored by FMH
This is an exceptional opportunity for an innovative healthcare leader to impact the future of FCHN and the health and wellness of Franklin County. MaineHealth and FCHN seek a talented and strategic healthcare executive to lead FCHN through its continued unification into MaineHealth and to ensure Franklin County continues to receive high quality healthcare from the local hospital and continues to advance population health initiatives across the region.
Possessing integrity and strong interpersonal abilities, the successful candidate will be a dynamic, passionate, value-based, action-oriented leader with a strong skill set in communication, relationship and team building, listening and decision making. They will have a track record of advancing change, building successful relationships with medical staff, community members and organizations and navigating a highly matrixed, multi-hospital healthcare system.
The ideal candidate will recognize that, as the leader of one of the communities’ largest employers, there is a high degree of visibility and community engagement that is required to be successful and best represent the organization to the community. The President will demonstrate a strong sense of social responsibility and desire to be visible and active in the community. They will also have an understanding of rural health care and an appreciation for the unique challenges associated with delivering health care services within a rural community.

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with ambulatory medical practices
  • Work with senior leaders to foster a culture that encourages quality, accountability, excellence and superior results in patient, employee and provider engagement
  • In alignment with the MaineHealth strategic plan, execute the vision and support business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall system performance, ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organization
  • Foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment at FCHN
