Job Description
Interim Vice President Dimitria Harding invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Interim Dean of Community Partnerships & Student Success. This position will provide leadership, administrative management, and supervision for customized training and students affairs areas. You will support student success through major advisory or policy creation and review, developing department workplans, strategic plan development, leading the non-credit offerings, and providing strategic direction to the development of new programs, non-credit offerings, community partnerships, and alternative funding opportunities. You will also serve as a member of the aligned President’s Cabinet and the Dean’s Council and Student Affairs Leadership Team (SALT) at Anoka Technical College.
The anticipated start date is February 1, 2023 and will be an interim appointment through January 1, 2024 or 2025.
The posting is open until January 6, 2023. This opportunity is available for current or former Minnesota State employees only.

Required Qualifications
  • Three or more years of higher education administrative experience OR at least three years of progressively responsible experience in higher education.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse student population and proven understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion as critical components of academic excellence and student success.
  • Communication skills, i.e., verbal, listening, written, interpersonal, and public presentation while maintaining trust, cooperation, and cohesion across the college.
  • Experience in at least one of the areas: leadership, planning, enrollment management, student affairs program development and evaluation, staffing, budget management, and supervision.
  • Experience with understanding broad strategic planning related to developing Community Partnerships, grants, and concurrent enrollment.
  • Demonstrated experience in data informed decision-making to include non-credit to credit pathways.
  • Master’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading innovation and organizational change as it relates to workforce development programs and student services.
  • Firm understanding of the needs and the mission of the technical community college.
  • Experience in leadership of interpreting and applying student related policies and procedures, including Title IX and student conduct.
  • Knowledge of Guided Learning Pathways and MinnState’s Equity 2030 Goals.
  • Experience working with Perkins Funding.
  • Experience being able to delegate, collaborate, and promote consensus in accomplishing the college’s strategic plan.
