Postdoctoral Scholar - UT Center for Advanced Medical Simulation - 22000002P8
The postdoc scholar will participate in several research projects that are currently in progress at the UT Center for Advanced Medical Simulation. This individual will also have the responsibility of carrying out independent educational research and will be required to present at least one completed research project at the ACS AEI annual conference. The postdoc scholar will also assist with facilitation of simulation based medical education courses to include curriculum development, simulation equipment operation, assessment of learners and faculty, skills coaching and course evaluation. The postdoc scholar will also assist the UTCAMS Administrative Director with collection, entry, and analysis of data required for program accreditation.
Description
Qualifications MD, PhD, or other terminal degree in a Healthcare related field or Adult Education field such as Education Psychology or Education Assessment and Evaluation. Minimum two-years’ experience as a clinical healthcare provider and/or health educator. If an educator, should have familiarity with the U.S. or foreign health care system. Strong communication and writing skills are preferred with some research and/or publication experience. Experience with clinical procedures or the surgical environment is preferred but not required.
