Postdoctoral Scholar – Department of Neurology - 22000002NV
The Postdoctoral Scholar will participate in several research projects currently funded by Dr. Mohammad Moshahid Khan related to the pathobiology of neurological disorders, mainly Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson Disease using animal and cellular models. The individual will conduct Immunohistochemistry and analysis and Western blot analysis. In addition, he or she will perform maintenance and genotyping of animal colonies and behavioral testing of mice.
Description
Qualifications PhD Experience with molecular biology techniques such as cloning, protein folding, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, immunofluorescence as well as cell cultures, and transgenic mouse models. A candidate with research interests in DNA damage response mechanisms, protein folding and aggregation, mitochondrial function, immune response, and neurodegeneration is preferred.
