About the Opportunity

Job Summary:

The Roux Institute at Northeastern University has one opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with a flexible start date on or after January 1, 2023. The fellow will have the opportunity to conduct methodological and applied epidemiologic research using observational data under the supervision of PI Louisa Smith and in collaboration with other researchers at the Roux Institute and in the Department of Health Sciences. The fellow will devote most of their time to independent research aligned with the PI’s interests in causal inference, including selection bias, missing data, and target trial emulation, and applied epidemiology in areas such as pregnancy and cancer. The fellow will also have the opportunity to collaborate on projects with the greater Observational Health Data Science and Informatics (OHDSI) community through the OHDSI center. This center, housed within the Roux Institute, is a new administrative hub of the largest observational health research community in the world. The fellow will have the opportunity to work on a collaborative effort in the OHDSI network to use electronic health record data to study exposures and outcomes related to pregnancy, and to be involved in any other OHDSI working groups of their choosing.
