Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will lead scientific investigation, collaborate and mentor graduate student researchers, and prepare manuscripts. Topics include computational cancer modeling, immunology and cancer immunotherapy, probabilistic modeling of biological systems, and systems biology and stochastic modeling of phenotypic transitions in oncology. Research in our group is driven by a desire to develop theory and data-driven computational tools to better understand cancer progression and treatment resistance.
This position will be headquartered in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Lead scientific investigation
- Collaborate and mentor graduate student researchers
- Prepare manuscripts
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education:
- Doctoral degree
Preferred Education:
- Doctoral degree in engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
Required Experience:
- No experience required.
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive experience with scientific coding
- Familiarity with Mathematical Analysis
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Passionate about solving challenging problems at the interface of science, engineering, and medicine.
- Desire to collaborate with graduate students.
