Job Description: | The College of Public Health and Health Professions has eight (8) departments plus the Dean’s Office (DO). These positions are located in the Dean’s Office and function as the primary HR liaison for four (4) of the college’s departments. These positions will be the primary point of contact and provide HR guidance to its assigned departments within PHHP for the following salary plans: TEAMS, Postdoctoral Associates, OPS faculty and staff, Student Assistants including Federal Work Study, Graduate Assistants, Interns and/ Pre/Post-Doc Fellows. Additionally, these positions will work in tandem with each other to meet the same needs for the Dean’s Office and will serve as primary backup in the absence of his/her counterpart. HR Recruitment and Hiring Manager Dean’s Office assignments will also include ensuring available and applicable funding sources, collecting all relevant HR paperwork, entering distributions, and new hire orientation and onboarding. HR-related responsibilities Provide guidance and assistance as needed related to UF Engaged (TEAMS), tuition waivers, OPS maximum hours policy, employee relations concerns and any other HR-related items that may come up. Process new Alternate Work Location (AWL) agreements and HR-600’s for assigned departments, including ensuring forms submitted by departments are complete and accurate. Secure appropriate higher level signatures/approvals. Track to ensure renewals are pre-approved timely. Graduate Assistant, Fellowship Coordinator Point person for PHHP’s scholarship tracking system for awards funded through the Dean’s Office, including all data entry and running reports as requested. Prompt departments as deadline approaches to ensure timely entry of information. Remind departments to initiate distribution once hire approved and notify DO to update as needed. Training Attend monthly UFHR Forum meeting via Livestream. Serve as key participant and speaker at monthly PHHP HR workshops. Miscellaneous (tracking, compliance, web) Provide back-up assistance as needed to the Director of HR related to Disclosure of Outside Activity Conflict of Interest (COI) forms. Post faculty search committee meeting information, as required by UF policy. Ensure the PHHP HR website is accurate and up-to-date. Create, update and/or upload new documents, checklists as requested. Fix broken links. Guide and assist departments as needed to ensure foreign nationals remain in work status. Level one reviewer to ensure assigned departments are up-to-date and current on various trainings/certifications required by the University, such as HIPAA, FERPA, Social Security, Confidentiality Statement, New Employee Orientation (TEAMS) and Maintaining a Safe and Respectful Campus. |
Expected Salary: | $60,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience |
Minimum Requirements: | Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
