Overview

Reporting directly to the Director, Inclusion, Diversity & Equity, the Program Manager Inclusion, Diversity & Equity advises leaders to embed inclusion, diversity, and equity into operations of DFCI.  Drives culturally competent care and engages the workforce in the development and execution of initiatives.

This is a partial remote position meaning the selected candidate must be able to work 2 - 3 days per week onsite in Boston, MA. Remote work may only be performed from New England States (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT). 

Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships with Business Leaders, HR colleagues and employees to develop a deep understanding of the organization’s workforce, culture, diversity, inclusion and retention opportunities.
  • Design dashboard and report on milestone progress towards strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) to develop and retain talented members of underrepresented employee groups as defined by the EEOC.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Organization Development and HRBPs to develop and implement change management and inclusion training to close skill/process/behavioral gaps.
  • Partner with Office of Faculty Development to develop and implement relevant ID&E initiatives identified by in the Faculty ID&E plan. Including but not limited to mentoring, sponsorships, and partnerships amongst others.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to achieve diversity goals in recruitment.
  • Develop and Facilitate trainings, dialogues and focus groups, where necessary to support inclusion, diversity and equity initiatives.
  • Ensure D&I practices and messages are embedded in overall People and Culture strategies including manager education, benefits, HRIS, talent planning, and compensation
  • Provide counsel and research to organizational leaders on the development/review of policies/practices to ensure inclusion, diversity and equity for employees, patients, and their families.
  • Advise Employee Resource Groups and their Executive Sponsors, to align their work with organizational priorities.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on issues related to inclusion, diversity and equity
  • In partnership with Communications and other internal stakeholders, develop an internal and external communications approach: 
  • Develop content, messaging and dissemination strategies
  • Position DFCI as a provider of choice, an employer of choice and a leader in improving equity, diversity and inclusion in the broader community both locally and nationally.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or related certifications.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience that includes talent management, diversity, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to develop engaging presentations and strategies through the use of data and visuals.
  • Project management and experience working in a complex environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Very strong administration, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in responding with timeliness and accuracy in complex and fast-paced environments and a commitment to high quality program delivery.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver program curriculum/objectives in classroom/simulated workplace environment
  • Ability to plan, organize, and arrange award ceremonies,
  • Well developed presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience working with diverse communities and persons of varying educational levels and experience.
  • Understanding of the expectations within a hospital setting and comfort in bridging both hospital and community settings.
  • Computer skills, including a strong facility with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of healthcare and research fields helpful
  • Flexibility in scheduling needed: some weekend and evening meeting and events are required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
