Postdoctoral Associate in cytochrome P450 enzymology

Job Description


A postdoctoral position in cytochrome P450 enzymology and biochemistry of drug metabolism is available in the research group of Dmitri Davydov at the Department of Chemistry, Washington State University (Pullman, WA). The position is for investigating the intermolecular interactions between multiple cytochrome P450 species in the human liver and their effect on the functional properties of the human drug metabolizing system as a functional entity. The research is funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. We are looking for a recent Ph.D. graduate in biochemistry/molecular biology with a good publication record. A strong background in enzymology, protein biophysics, and mathematics is required. Proficiency in the methods of protein purification and modification and a hands-on experience in LC-MS techniques are desirable. Basic skills in computer programming are an advantage. An ideal candidate should be able to work independently and possess good writing skills.
