A position for a Postdoctoral Scholar is available in the laboratory of Dr. Stacey Choi in the College of Optometry/Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at The Ohio State University (OSU). The successful candidate will work within a highly collaborative research environment focused on the use of Adaptive Optics – Optical Coherence Tomography (AO-OCT) system for the study of cellular level changes in the human retina including conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetes. Retinal findings will be correlated with clinical structural and functional tests. The candidate will be expected to maintain the AO-OCT system; collect and analyze experimental data; prepare research results for publication and talks; write the scientific manuscripts, progress reports, and gain experience in grant writing.
 


Additional Information:

Background: 
An ideal candidate would have experience in the field of biomedical imaging / optics / electrical engineering. Experience in biomedical imaging and image processing would be particularly advantageous.

Education:
Doctorate in physics, biomedical physics, biomedical engineering, or electrical engineering.
