Research results will be presented at internal and external meetings and conferences on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse research group and a wide range of organisms. The Wildman lab is part of the newly established, rapidly growing Genomics Program located in the College of Public Health at the University of South Florida (USF), with rich opportunities for collaboration with investigators at local, national, and international levels.

Ability to contribute to manuscript and grant proposal development and production. Ability to train undergraduate and graduate students in bioinformatic methods.

RESEARCH DUTIES: 1.0 FTE

The primary duties and obligations of the appointment are to conduct genomic research in accordance with the needs of Dr. Wildman’s research program. This will involve undertaking original investigation of existing and forthcoming genomic datasets relevant to human evolution and health, drafting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, attending conferences to present research results, managing datasets used in ongoing research projects, assisting with the preparation of annual reports to granting agencies, and participating in the submission of grant applications. Under the direction of Dr. Wildman, the candidate will assist with the oversight of students and staff conducting special projects in the Research Group.
