Job Description: | The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking multiple part- or full-time TEAMS Time-Limited mental health professionals with experience in collegiate mental health who thrive in an environment that values collaboration and support among team members and will work with us to assist UF students cultivate their mental health in support of their personal, educational, and career development. We are seeking generalists at any point in their professional development with a strong interest in working with domestic and international students in a university counseling center. The counselor’s primary responsibility is to provide direct clinical services, including group, individual and couples counseling to University of Florida students. Potential colleagues should have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns and levels of severity. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: men’s issues, substance abuse, autism spectrum, trauma, psychotherapy with BIPOC, and Black-identified students, Queer psychology, and other developmental concerns. This position may be deemed an essential employee with additional required responsibilities during a declared emergency. Provide direct time-limited group, individual, and couples counseling for students with psychological, emotional, academic and/or relationship concerns. Case management, including coordination of cases with CWC and external providers, referrals, follow-up care with clients, and other UF stakeholders. Administrative tasks, including preparing, reviewing, and signing clinical documentation. Perform additional duties as assigned. including fill in for triage and on-call when necessary. Expected Salary: | $67,000 |
Minimum Requirements: | Professionals with one of the following credentials: 1) Social worker with a master’s degree or Ph.D. in social work from a Certified Social Work Education-accredited school of social work; 2) Counselor with a master’s degree in counseling. 3) Psychologist with a master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology. All applicants must be licensed OR licensed eligible within 2 years as a mental health professional or psychologist in the state of Florida. Employment with the University of Florida is contingent upon the results of a criminal background check. |
