Additional Information:

The NSF National eXtreme Ultrafast Science (NeXUS) Facility at The Ohio State University brings to the scientific community the ability to study how electrons move in molecules and materials at time scales as fast as attoseconds and length scales as small as angstroms. Based upon a recently developed laser technology that provides high repetition rate and high average power pulses that enable generation of ultrafast XUV and soft x-ray pulses fully synchronized with the drive laser, the NeXUS facility provides tailored photon characteristics to three special purpose end stations for time-resolved research in attosecond and femtosecond molecular dynamics, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).

The NeXUS team comprises faculty and staff in the Departments of Physics and Chemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. With 38 departments, 20+ world-class research centers, and more than 2,000 faculty and staff members, students have the unique opportunity to study with the best artists, scholars, and scientists in their field.  The College values diversity and offers a supportive, open, and inclusive community.
