Vanderbilt University

Job Description

BioScience Writers, LLC (BSW) is an award-winning, internationally-recognized company that offers editing, writing, instruction, and consulting services to the global research community. Our comprehensive services provide critical support for academic and industry scientists striving for successful outcomes in today’s highly competitive publishing and funding environment (www.biosciencewriters.com ).

Internships: BSW welcomes applications for paid, virtual internships from graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Applicants will be pre-screened and given a sample document to edit. Interns who are accepted into the program will have opportunities to build their scientific editing and writing skills by working on a variety of professional documents. Hours are flexible, averaging 2-5 hours per week, and interns manage their own schedule. Interns may also work in other areas of interest beyond editing and writing, such as client communication, journal evaluation and submission, overlapping text detection, and business marketing and analysis.  Our internship program is active throughout the year, and new interns are accepted on a rolling basis.

Science Writing Careers: All BSW editors and writers have advanced degrees (PhD, MD, DVM, PharmD, MS, etc.) in a scientific field and understand what is required to help our clients publish in STEMM journals and develop successful STEMM grant proposals.

We provide high-quality scientific editor and writer positions in either employee or freelance contractor roles. Interns will have opportunities to work with and gain career perspectives from our editors and writers.

Interested students and postdoctoral fellows should send their CV and a cover letter describing their interest in our internship program to:
