Job Description
The Stanford University King Center on Global Development’s Postdoctoral Fellows Program offers fellowships to outstanding new PhDswho have a demonstrated ability to generate high-quality, policy-relevant research on critical issues related to global development.
We invite applications for multidisciplinary postdoctoral fellowships to start summer/fall 2022 for a one- or two-year appointment. The King Center’s Postdoctoral Fellows Program is intended for promising new PhD recipients—coming from fields such as computer science, earth systems science, economics, engineering, health policy, political science, and sociology—to pursue policy-relevant research on topics related to international development and poverty alleviation.
The King Center’s postdoctoral fellows should expect to be active members of the community of development researchers at Stanford University. Postdoctoral Fellows are matched with King Center Faculty Affiliates as their faculty mentors based on research interests.
The King Center’s Postdoctoral Fellows Program particularly encourages applications from women and minority PhD recipients, and from scholars from low- and middle-income countries, as well as from others whose backgrounds and experience would contribute to the diversity (broadly defined) of the program.
The King Center provides a competitive fellowship stipend, plus support for travel and research expenses.
