The Opportunity

The University of Central Florida (UCF) seeks applications for a 9-month, non-tenure earning lecturer position in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in mechanical or aerospace engineering offered by the department. 

The MAE Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degree programs. Both BSAE and BSME programs are ABET-accredited. MAE is home to 41 full-time faculty members and several adjuncts. The reputation of the department and university is continually growing with numerous faculty achievements including NSF CAREER awards, an ONR Young Investigator Award, and fellowships in professional societies. Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Previous teaching experience at the university level.
