Job Description:

The successful candidate will assist and support the CVM HR manager with all faculty and staff (Teams, OPS, CARE) searches, hire processes, faculty related processes such as Tenure and Promotion, Sustained Performance, the Resident/Intern hire process and any related personnel issues. This position will also provide back up for orientation and informational sessions related to benefits for new incoming faculty, staff (OPS, TEAMS, CARE), and residents/interns.  Assisting with the drafting of offer letters for new hires including faculty, residents/interns, postdoctoral associates, and staff (TEAMS, CARE) for approval will also be expected. This position will assist with and ensure proper processing of faculty and staff (TEAMS, OPS, CARE) job actions will be expected.  

Support administration and coordination of all aspects of processing Visa requests, in cooperation with the CVM HR Manager and the UF International Center, before forwarding to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). 

The successful candidate will also support the payroll activity of the college which ensures that all employees are paid accurately and timely. This position will also provide troubleshooting advice for any payroll issues that may arise.

Strategic projects as assigned, to include but not limited to personnel reports, maintaining data tracking, HR Databases, Org charts, personnel records, training and development.

Support the transportation of sensitive documents as well as college personnel across UF Campus as needed. Vehicle will be provided.

Expected Salary:

$18.00 per hour; commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have consistent and reliable schedule.
  • Must have a driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective written and verbal communication.
  • High school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Access database, Org Plus, Outlook, Careers at UF, and MyUFL a plus.
  • AA degree or higher.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Self-starter.
  • Experience with UF HR processes and policies.
Special Instructions to Applicants:

Expected work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This will include a one-hour lunch break.

This position will be benefits and voluntary retirement eligible. A defined retirement contribution plan will also be provided.
