Job Overview

The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funded research project: High Precision Sorting, Fractionation, and Formulation of Municipal Solid Waste for Biochemical Conversion. The applicant will collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams of scientists and engineers (from universities, national laboratories, and industrial companies) to develop new Waste-to-Energy Strategies for the Bioeconomy. The applicant will also have an opportunity to be involved in EPA funded research projects. The main duties include assistance in project management, conducting independent laboratory and pilot experiments, preparing and presenting of progress reports for the funding agencies and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.


Candidates with doctorates in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Chemistry or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. The position can start from October 2, 2022 and will be open until filled.

Required Education

Doctoral Degree in the appropriate field or discipline, or the recognized terminal degree, or the equivalent foreign equivalent.
