The POST - Lecturer Specialist Nursing AC3
Due to a continued significant investment in our teaching portfolio within the School of Health & Life Sciences, we are seeking applications from individuals to join the School’s Division of Midwifery and Specialist Nursing as a Lecturer in Specialist Nursing. You will join a dedicated team making a significant contribution to the development of contemporary advanced and specialist clinical practice education programmes. You will be a nurse or allied health professional, registered with NMC/HCPC and have an Advanced Clinical Practitioner OR Advanced Specialist qualification with contemporary advanced/specialist practice knowledge and skills.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Degree and relevant postgraduate qualification
  • Professional Body qualification
  • Appropriate evidence of external engagement which is clearly in line with the School’s priority areas for the future, or be able to demonstrate the synergies (e.g. external engagement in terms of research, or knowledge exchange, or engagement with professional bodies or other external organisations)
  • Commitment to delivering high quality teaching and supporting an outstanding student experience.

The Division of Midwifery and Specialist Nursing offers a large portfolio of health-related modules and professional programmes such as: post-registration community programmes; MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner; MSc Health Studies; Neonatal Nursing and pre-registration Midwifery. We work in partnership with seven NHS Boards to deliver a quality assured, contemporary healthcare student experience.
