If so, we 're looking for someone like you to join our Contracts & Asset Management team at APL.

 

We are seeking a Receiving/Tagging Administrator to provide Asset Management Support to Business, Construction and Facilities Department (BCFD), Contracts & Asset Management Group.  You will work closely with staff within APL's Sectors and Departments, as well as, representatives from external organizations performing Asset Management and Administration.

 

As the Receiving/Tagging Administrator, you will be responsible for...
  • Being the primary point of contact from the Enterprise Asset Management Section (EAM) for property tagging throughout APL’s Main campus. This includes:
    • Tagging new property that was not tagged during the Receiving process, and create property records.
    • Tagging Government property furnished by APL’s Sponsors, and create property records.
    • Placing property tags provided by non-Government Sponsors on property owned by the respective organizations (e.g., JPL, MPO, MDA, etc.), and updating APL’s property management system.
    • Working with the EAM Closeout Administrator to tag Data Warehouse items not tagged during the Receiving process, and create property records.
    • Retagging property that APL has taken title to.
    • Printing and replacing property tags that are no longer readable or are missing.
    • Working with the EAM property management system administrator to tag door jambs when new buildings come on line.
  • Learning the AssetSmart Property Equipment Management System (PEMS) and be able to create and update property records.
  • Becoming familiar with the Surplus process and work with the Surplus Warehouse coordinator.
  • Assisting in the documentation of EAM section practices and procedures.
  • Supporting other EAM section related activities as assigned.
  • We are looking for someone who is forward thinking and thinks strategically to offer process improvements related to business practices, systems and tools aimed at increasing efficiency, productivity, and flexibility.

 


Qualifications

 

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Are proficient with Adobe, and the MS Office suite of software, notably Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail, anticipate problems and initiate action, handle multiple tasks and projects, and react to changing priorities while maintaining work quality and accuracy.
  • Are able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You go above and beyond our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have experience in the management and administration of Government/Contractor Property, particularly in inventory management and control.
  • Have experience working with the Property Equipment Management System (PEMS).
  • Are able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance or higher.
