Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The successful candidate will have an established record of research in the field, as well as an ability to perform well in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and a willingness tofulfill various service and administrative responsibilities. The candidate will also have some research program that is relevant to gender or racial justice. Candidates need to provide a letter of application and curriculum vitae, together with contact details for at least three references who may be contacted later, as well as statement specifying past or potential contributions to diversity, equity, or inclusion. Contributions might include leadership in teaching, mentoring, research, or service towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment and/or increasing access or participation of individuals from historically underrepresented groups. If we move forward to request letters, we will ask for additional documents from the candidate, including a statement regarding future research. It would be an advantage for candidates to be able to teach courses in epistemology, feminist philosophy, history of modern philosophy, non-Western philosophy, Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), or philosophy of race.
