About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY
We seek to hire a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, Bouve College of Health Sciences funded by grants from the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH). The candidate will be is responsible for research on development of nanotechnology-based drug and gene delivery solutions for treatment of cancer.
She/he will contribute to in vitro and in vivo studies on formulation development, cell culture experiments, including 3D organoid cultures, and development of an orthotopic tumor models in mice. The candidate will assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting, including providing complete NIH formatted biannual reports on the study progress. The candidate will also draft and revised manuscript and assist with grant submission to federal and private funding sources. Lastly, candidate will provide scientific seminars as well as mentoring and assisting junior researchers in the lab
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with an in-depth training in formulation development in vitro and in vivo studies. Prior experience in development of orthotopic syngeneic tumor models of pancreatic cancer and ovarian cancer and immunity of the tumor compartment is important. The candidate should have broad understanding of pharmaceutical sciences principles and able to engage with different types of individuals as well as an ability to develop and deliver clear and concise presentations for both internal and external meetings
The candidate should have a strong publication record in formulation development and in vivo testing and an outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
