Position Description

Lincoln Land Community College is looking for qualified part-time instructors to teach Italian courses online. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and provide engaging, active-learning approaches to continuously improve student learning through LLCC’s learning management system. Responsibilities include preparing course syllabi and lessons; guiding and assisting students; keeping accurate records of student performance and making timely submission of academic records; providing students with timely feedback; and creating a learning environment that fosters student success.

LLCC is a fully accredited, comprehensive community college in Springfield, Illinois, serving approximately 15,000 credit and non-credit students in 161 degree and certificate programs throughout the state’s largest community college district. LLCC’s 220-acre main campus is located in Springfield, the state capitol of Illinois, with additional locations located throughout central Illinois.

Position Requirements

Applicants must possess a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours of coursework in Italian. Additionally, candidates must possess the Quality Matters TOC (Teaching Online Certification), the APPQMR (Applying the Quality Matters Rubric) 6th edition, or the APPQMR (previous edition) certification. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and drug-screen.
