| Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Per Diem Advanced Practice Nurse for the Family Medicine & Community Health department at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Working collaboratively with a physician and under the clinical supervision of the Medical Directors, the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provides medical evaluations and ongoing medication treatment to patients. The specific protocols of treatment are worked out by the APN and the collaborating physician through a practice agreement. The APN provides consultation to clinical staff regarding patient care issues, and may also provide formal in-service education and training to other employees. Participates in a collegial relationship with the physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. Performs in an expanded nursing role and has responsibility for meeting the needs of a determined number of patients using a primary care model. The APN may work in multiple programs and different sites on different days. This position requires a high level of professional responsibility, medical judgment, and ability to take personal initiative while working as part of a team. | COVID-19 Immunization Requirement | Rutgers University requires all new employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the employee a medical or religious exemption.
